Let the Wild Rumpus Start

Stoop 1

:: We’re going to see Where The Wild Things Are tonight, and I’m so excited! I hope it’s as good as… well as good as I hope it will be.

:: I need to finish some stationary design concepts for a client this weekend, and probably my 2010 calendar as well, so that I can get it for sale.

:: I showed a group of paintings and photography to a friend of mine who used to be one of my best instructors last night, and she was really digging the body of work. I’m getting more excited to round it out and try to show it.

:: I hope it’s nice enough to shoot a roll of black & white film sometime this weekend.

I hope your weekend is full of something fun! Do you have plans?

We’re headed to the pumpkin patch/corn maze tomorrow afternoon on what I’m thinking is the last warm Saturday this year (71 and sunny!). I want to squeeze in a showing of Whip It, and when it’s dark and I should be reading a book in bed, I’ll be going through your blog archives. I started last night just out of curiosity and I love what I’ve read, and I must say that your photography just keeps getting better and better! :)

Have a wonderful weekend! I guess I should get on the stick and watch the Wild Things trailer for once.

  2. do let us know about WWTA. Not sure still.

I’m hosting a bridal shower tomorrow so that will be fun. I want to take photos, but maybe a hostess should, you know, talk to people.

Have fun at WWTA! I’ll probably bawl through the whole thing. I read it to my little wild thing, John, so many times. And now he’s all grown up!

So how was the movie ? It’s one of the rare fils I’d really like to see.
My plans for the moment ? Finding a place to live in Berlin. Exciting and a wee bit scary, all at the same time. I don’t really know what to think or feel right now.

I’ve been curious to hear your comments about Where The Wild Things Are. I was so excited to see it, loved the previews, even downloaded the iPhone app. to watch trailers and listen to the music. I have to admit, I was disappointed by the movie. And I so wanted to love it, but felt let down, unsettled and a bit disturbed after seeing it. So… whadcha think?
