I Hear Thunder
January 7, 2008
It’s one of those days, friends. Stormy and unruly. I feel unkempt. So let’s reminisce to the scones I made from scratch on Saturday, when things were smooth and slow. Poppy seed, with lemon curd on top. They were delicious, and beautiful, and about the only thing that got accomplished all weekend.
Thank you for all of your encouraging comments on my weekly photography project! You can expect to see each Meditate image here on Fridays, unless I’m feeling wonky and decide to mix it up a bit.

It kills me that you say “only thing.” If I whipped those up I would be crowing for a month. Gorgeous.

My son, who should be asleep but is reading blogs with me instead, has asked for the recipe. They look yummy!

Ok. Yum. Second, feeling the weather. It RAINED here. What’s that all about? And in Phoenix, with rain comes thunder. Thank the stars that thunder no longer scares me now that I’m in my 30’s. Ahem. In my 20’s? Under the bed scared. Maturity is a lovely thing whenever it decides to show up.

Those look really good- I have yet to try to make scones. Hasn’t the weather here been weird lately?!
