Some pretty groovy artsy stuff
May 10, 2007
Hi, friends!
I came across some {well, ALOT, who am I kidding?} new groovy stuff, and had to share. Stick it out, and click, it will be worth it, I promise!
Young NY Graphic Designer Gordon Waltho {thanks SwissMiss!}. Amazing work. Really simple website, but I love that, it shows off the work. I have been struggling with a site design for myself that I am comfortable with, perhaps I will try this approach.
Lara of Kirin & Co {her flickr is here}, is making some pretty cool screenprinted fabric. This is one of my favorites:
Then there is Heather {her flickr is here}, who does a bunch of gocco screenprinting, which I am totally jealous of, by the way, since the gocco printers are pretty hard to find these days as evidently they have stopped making them. Some of my faves:
I love stationary. Especially hand printed stationary.
I love everything about Ben Schlitter. His sketchbook figures and drawings are so gestural and full of life, with robots and clouds and buildings and rockets. And his recently available desktops inspired me to finally give up my previous favorite for something new.
Finally, please please please check out the Flickr photos of lilacmoon {thanks to you mav!}, and then rebeccamissing, both of these individuals create beautiful and amazing images using photography and other elements. They are so inspiring!
