Prickly Pear Bloom

I wouldn’t say I necessarily like pink. I think the color has it’s place in the world, but I have never designed something so inherently pink in my entire life as what I am working on right now. Our final project for Mike’s layout class is a plain ol’ 2 page magazine spread. When I say plain, I only mean that it isn’t as complex a project as the annual report, or a campaign, or anything. But good layout skills for magazine spreads can be important, and it seems like a good light project to end on, especially right before Christmas, when life always gets hectic. I tried to do some cool things with it, and this is what happened:

I sent out my Christmas cards this evening, finally! I really like how they turned out. Here is the sneak peek for anyone who checks my site regularly.
